LoL Patch 12.4 COUNTDOWN: Release Time, Maintenance Schedule & Latest News (2024)

A new League of Legends update is now live! LoL 12.4 will introduce important balance changes to the game as well as introducing the next new Champion to the game's roster.

Renata Glasc, the Chem-Baroness will join the battle with the power to control her enemies like no other champion before her, and Riot will take their first steps toward curbing the enchanter solo lane issues plaguing the game at all competitive levels.

With that in mind, here's everything players can expect from League of Legends patch 12.4 from its patch notes to the latest news.

Live Now - LoL 12.4 Release Time

LoL 12.4 is live now, having released on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the following times.

• Wednesday, February 16, 2022 - 3am PT
• Wednesday, February 16, 2022 - 11am GMT
• Wednesday, February 16, 2022 - 6am EST

The League of Legends servers went down for around 3 hours before launch time for maintenance but are back online now.

LoL 12.4 Patch Notes

LoL 12.4 is absolutely stacked, but before we get into all of the balance changes, let's first go over the game's newest champion, Renata Glasc, the Chem Baroness.

Renata Glasc

Renata Glasc is a support with a lot of Crowd Control abilities, our favorite is her ultimate which will make enemies attack one another if aimed properly.

Abilities

Passive - Leverage

• Basic attacks mark her enemies and deal bonus damage. Damage from Renata’s allies consumes the mark, dealing additional damage.

Handshake (Q)

• Sends out a missile from her robotic arm that roots the first enemy hit.
• Renata can reactivate the ability to throw the enemy in a target direction, damaging enemies hit and stunning them if the thrown target is a champion.

Bailout (W)

• Grants an allied champion or herself ramping Attack Speed and Move Speed toward enemies. If the ally gets a takedown on an enemy champion, the buff duration resets.
• If the ally would die while Bailout is still active, their health is set back to full but they begin burning to death over 3 seconds. The ally can stop the burn by getting a champion takedown before they die.

Loyalty Program (E)

• Sends out chemtech rockets that shield allies and damage and slow enemies they pass through.
• The rockets also apply their effects around her on cast and in an explosion at max range.

Hostile Takeover (R)

• Sends out a cloud of chemicals that causes enemies to go Berserk, increasing their Attack Speed and forcing them to basic attack anything around them.
• Berserk enemies prioritize attacking their own allies, then neutral units, then Renata Glasc's team, then Renata Glasc herself.

• Gold Value Bounties: are now based on the number of support gold income items on each team, rather than assuming each team has one support gold income item
• Objective Bounties: Enemy gold leads are now significantly less likely to lead to Objective Bounties activating if there are two or more support gold income items on your team
• Tribute / Spoils of War (PASSIVE) - Minion Farming Penalty
  • Receive diminishing gold from excessive (4 minions per minute) ⇒ (2 minions per minute until 5 minutes; 4 minions per minute thereafter) minion kills.
  • This diminished gold penalty is now also more severe during the first 5 minutes of the game. (All else unchanged)

LOL 12.4 New Skins

League of Legends will introduce 6 new skins in LoL 12.4. Four for the new Shockblade series for the champions: Kassadin, Qiyana, Shen, Xayah.

Fireflight Ekko is finally arriving as well, and Renata Glasc will arrive with a fantastic skin to try right from launch, Admiral Renata.
