This year (2016) our Monday Night Skills are dedicated to the BEGINNER cyclist

Monday night Skills Coordinator: Leo Boon, Level 3 National Certified Cycling Coach
Post Monday Skills SOCIAL: A restaurant or coffee shop if desired by group

MONDAY NIGHTS: Best of both worlds.

Sessions starting at 6:30pm, please arrive early.
Location: Beban Park, Nanaimo, BC

The Women on Wheels cycling group, focuses on giving women the appropriate avenues to develop their cycling skills. In doing so, you have the option to pick between participating in one of the different skills on the Monday nights or do a local group ride.
Every Monday night from April to October, we focus on a number of cycling skills. We start with group riding, then work our way into other cycling skills: riding in traffic, then into hills, cornering, descending, and more.

Our Monday nights cater to the beginner cyclist, new to cycling, not comfortable with the bike. We discuss clothing, health and fitness. etc. Members participating on the Monday nights, will be put into groups with an assistant and given a certain skill to focus on for the evening.

Monday night group rides: For those ladies who are return members and are not interested in joining the skill session. Group rides in the Pleasant Valley and Parkway Trail will be organized.

Rain?

Monday night skills session WILL ALWAYS run regardless of the weather.

CANCELLATIONS: We will always arrive on location and IF at that time there are thundershowers, a posting will be placed on our group page and the skills session will be cancelled
