Program Sponsor Package
The GNCC runs several educational programs on cycling, traffic education, etc. We are looking for corporate sponsors that would be interested in being the title sponsor of educational programs. Current options are:
Kids Traffic Education
This program introduces kids to traffic education, learning walking and cycling skills and putting those skills into practice in the neighbourhoods. GNCC has purchased an enclosed trailer to house all their materials for putting on their Bike Rodeos, Bike Skills and Bike Maintenance classes. The trailer will tour all schools during the school year. We are looking for a Titel sponsor as well as contribution from suppliers.
Women on Wheels
Our women's program runs from March to November and is aimed at providing bicycle classes specific to women interested in cycling. In 2015 we had over 40 participants in the program. For more details: WOW
Urban Traffic Skills
The urban cycling course covers important street riding information in a classroom session and a full day on the road session. Topics include: using those gears, cycling up hills, cornering and roundabouts.
Bike Friendly Business program
The GNCC Bike Friendly Business Program provides customized education, tools and resources to help organizations become more accessible to cyclists, to cultivate healthier and more productive work environments and to attract customers and employees who cycle. We offer support to businesses with on-site cycling education courses in their office/workplace to teach staff the skills they need to maintain their bike and cycle safely & confidently on the road. Secondly we perform on-site assessments of the office building/workplace and develop customized recommendations for how to make your business more bike friendly through facility upgrades, employee incentives and marketing techniques. We offer resource guides, tips & research about the benefits of becoming a Bike Friendly Business.
Bike Locker Box program
The broad out line of the program is to engage the VIU welding program or a local business in producing Bike Locker Boxes for the GNCC. Further involvement by VIU students or secondary school students is in the painting and placement of the bike locker boxes. We working diligently to provide lease/rent options for the bike lockers to business, large employers and individuals throughout the city. In the first year we will concentrate on the downtown area and in areas around shopping centres, libraries, and other frequently visited places by cyclists.
Bike Valet Services
Bike Valet Services provides a safe, fun, friendly and manageable way to accommodate bikes arriving at your event. Make parking easier for those already coming by bike, and encourage more people to choose cycling to get there. GNCC has the capacity to park a 100 bikes. We set up the parking area using traffic barricades, run the service, and tear down at the end. Our rate is affordable and we have specials for non-profit events. We are looking for a titel sponsor for this program.
The sponsor levels are:
Community Supporter $1500
Community Champion $2500
Community Leader $3500
Program Titel Sponsor $5000
